What is Osteopathy?

Osteopathy is an established, recognised system of diagnosis and treatment that lays emphasis on the structural integrity of the body. Osteopathic techniques are applied manually to the body to improve muscle tone, joint mobility and promote healing and repair.

What Do Osteopaths Treat?

Most musculoskeletal ailments which affect or restrict movement and lead to pain, such as: Neck pain and headache, back pain, tennis elbow, osteoarthritis, sciatica, frozen shoulder, tendinopathies, knee pain, hip pain.

A full case history and physical examination will be undertaken in your initial consultation and Yinka will discuss with you a provisional diagnosis, treatment plan and treatment.

Is Osteopathy Regulated?

The Statutory Register of the General Osteopathic Council (GOsC) opened on 9 May 1998. The title 'Osteopath' became protected by law from 9 May 2000. Osteopaths are required to complete 30 hours of continuing professional development a year and must have appropriate insurance.
